Glittering Prizes

Hey guys. Our project will probably be postponed again unless of course you can help us. So I'm here in the name of Adam who can't log into the internet for reasons you'll understand as follows:

Alright, here's the deal. I've been out of work for two months due to some.... stupid decisions in my life. Currently I'm back to work, but I'm so behind on bills that catching up is like pulling teeth I no longer have. Perhaps the worst for my profession at current is a $500 bill to my cable company. Why is this such a problem, you ask? No cable = no internet. No internet = no writing jobs. In fact, this current lack of internet cost me a VERY valuable opportunity to be a new RPG developer for White Wolf!!! No!!!!!!! I could have been up there with Ethan Kamp or the like..... And, considering I have twins due in September, finances are making it impossible for me to get my internet turned back on. For a LONG time.

So.... here's the question. Any way any generous and loving fans out there wish to donate to my cause? I'll even throw in an incentive, so here it is:

To the highest two contributers, I offer two personally-signed books: The Alliance Player's Guide and the Horde Player's Guide. One to one, one to the other. (no, you can't get both, you only get one or the other). Conditions: If you want the books, please, a minimum of 20-25 bucks. Of course, if you pass me a hundred (or more), I'll definately be more appreciative and may through something else sweet into the mix....... *hint hint*

So, if you're generous, please flit over to Paypal and donate to my cause to get my internet back up and me outa debt hell. Thanks guys!

So, as you can see guys that's our problem. Remember that you don't HAVE to donate more than 20 bucks, any help is appreciated. And also you're not paying for any of our services, you'll just be helping from your own volition. Adam threw the books into the thing to motivate people and make things faster. But if you want to help with 10, 5 or even 1 dollar you won't be forgotten. We will be posting a list of the top 10 donations once this moment of crisis is over and also the names of all donators along with our gratitude.

You can send an e-mail to magus asking if this is true: magusrogue@gmail.com
And you can donate clicking on the button below:

I decided to place here some old files that might be useful to some people. The Steamthrone was something I created once I saw the drawings (or dare I say blueprints :P) for it at the forums. The Spellbreaker needs a revamp, don't know when Adam and I will get to it. And there is also the WoW Unofficial Errata. All those were files I created exactly one year ago.

I have some of the old D&D Warcraft files, one of them being the old Pandaren Brewmaster. But since that prestige class is going to be covered by Dark Factions I decided to not include it here. I also have the Acolyte, the Goblin Baloonist, the Spell Sniper, and the Axethrower/Warlord. As well as some scourge racial classes. But all that stuff is old now and I'll only upload it if people ask for it.

Edit: Ok, I remembered that my files are hosted in another website (not mine) here is the link http://www.freewebs.com/lands_of_chaos/files.htm I would post the credits for the person who created the website but there is no info about him/her in it.

And so I met a guy named Murphy...

Ok, before I go into the details about how things went wrong, I'll tell you the good stuff. The convention was awesome, we didn't have as much people as in other years cause there was an anime convention happening in the city and also some kind of japanese ceremony or fair or whatever since São Paulo is the second biggest japanese colony in the world after Japan itself.

So we had a bus full of geeks and not-so-geeks going towards the "Smog City" (and it's not LA guys) I like to compare it to what the Matrix did to the world on the movie where the sunlight it's something rare, lol. Anyway a fun trip and including toothpaste
!

For some unexplainable reason my first day was boring... As my friend said (it can't be "as boring as hell" hell is much more fun than this). However there was one good thing about it. BOOZE! Malt beer for me, regular for the other guys, by the way those three are basically my official gaming group (sergio, naddo, thiago and me; attention to thiago's shirt).

Among the interesting things that happened on sunday morning (and this is the fun day). It began with breakfast at the hotel and guess what? the Pan American Games torch passes right by our hotel's window!
But the day is just beginning! We had the ninja day with many different activities and prizes for everyone and we went on delivering real hamburguers and soda to the major staff members of the convention and to Monte Cook himself! Who also tried one of our activity games - the ninja ball - hehe. And won! I even got it all recorded but I'm still going to edit it.

the only fast food with dim-mak death touch. Join us or die!

We had some nice cosplayers, but I only got a few pictures since I was busier with the whole ninja thing. So what went wrong Salsa? Everything is so cool so far. Well, my friends...

Chuck Norris created the first RPG, it was rustlers & roundhouses.Murphy attacked when we left the convention...

"And so you guys were on the convention bus, when suddenly you see smoke coming out of your window at the right side. What do you do?"

- I get pissed off and start complaining.

"You find out it's the bus brake compartment burning rubber for reason only explained by your host as the car part being new. The driver decides to stop on a gas station and clean it with a water hose. What do you do?"

- I'm watching through the window and I still can't believe this is happening.
"The trip continues and around the middle of Return of the King, you hear what appears to be a small blast and a whistle sound followed by the feeling that the bus is running through heavy terrain. Roll an intelligence check. Wow! you're smart enough to realize it's a flat tire. What do you do?"

- I start cursing and informing the other passengers about the occurence.

"Many minutes later, once the bus gets back to the trip, your friends start saying things like 'this is going to fuck up again' or 'I heard a metal clank, I think the wheel is not properly attached' which doesn't comfort you either, cause hey you're just going down a road hill full of curves. The bus comes to a halt AGAIN minutes after leaving the hill. You see the trip host and other friends running on the road along with the bus driver trying to find something at road midsection where there's also knee-high grass. Hey guess what you're seeing at your window this time?"

-No... It can't be what I think it is, gamemaster...

"Hell yeah! The bus driver is rolling the wheel that got off across the road and wooooah he just missed a speeding car by an inch!"

-Holy #$%! What the... I'm tired of this, I'm tearing this character sheet, just fucking kill me already! What's next? A hijack?

Well, no fellas but for a moment if it did happen, I'd be ready for it anyway, so we had to wait for a new bus to come get us. And a 6 hour trip became a 12 hour trip, back home... And now I'm tired, I'm gonna get some sleep. I'll post the links for more pictures and the video footage later this week.

Trip to São Paulo and Note to Contributors

Tomorrow at midnight I'll be on my way to the "Encontro Internacional de RPG" (International RPG Con, in a free translation). I attend every year and this one couldn't be different. A friend of mine is responsible for the Brazilian Ninja Day the same comemorative day that happens in the US around December (www.ninjaburger.com and here is the brazilian ninja day website: http://www.emnomedorei.com.br/home_ninja.php). We had some great and incredible support from the creator who even sent us a package with advertising material including rpg books and other neat stuff to give away during the event. And since everyone is going dressed as a different kind of ninja, I'm gonna be the cowboy ninja (go figure :P).

Last year's Con. 'Silent bob' and I?
I was gonna run a big world of warcraft with the coming of the burning crusade and all, probably a thematic game involving the characters trying to cross the Dark Portal, I had it all planned, two tables two different game masters, same story but one group would be alliance and the other group the horde. Each group's action would affect the other's outcome. But so many other things to do in college and movie projects that I had to give up. Maybe next year.

One interesting thing is the fact that this year we have the presence of Monte Cook, he will be here for the portuguese release (hopefully with no delay excuses this time) of Arcana Evolved. I might be wrong on saying that cause we don't even have Arcana Unearthed translated... so it could be the later one.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that it's really good to be back and help on this project (and many others to come). I'll be back to Rio de Janeiro (hence back home) on Monday, so don't worry I'm not gonna disappear again.

And to all contributors; that is Magus, Tark and Twilight. You guys can post here anything you want about world of warcraft, rpg, updates on this project etc. Feel at home, just log in, new post and voilá!

Bye to all and see ya next week.

Return

"...when duty's done, and glory earned.

I swore my heart, I would return."

Humans learn, societies grow, creatures evolve and time is always at motion. Why should magic act differently? Aeons of knowledge are scattered around the corners of the Twisting Nether, ancient secrets probably caved in in the depths of Anh'Qiraj. And you really thought only two books could cover it all? You were wrong...

The Warcraft RPG Resource Homepage returns in a moment of triumph with an upcoming project that will tremble the very foundations of the internet. Under the provisional name of WoW RPG Blog, we will once again provide you with loads of new content to be used with the World of Warcraft Roleplaying Game and all that packed into neat PDF netbooks very close-looking to books from the official line.
